All acceptable answers they could have contributed. “What is the Milky Way made up of, Mori-kun,” he asked them again, his voice still painfully grating to their ears. He patiently awaited their answer to a question they hadn’t even been awake to hear. Still, their own tendencies to press the buttons of others had little to no effect on the man. He was a foreigner by the name of Pushkin a stout man who seemed to genuinely enjoy his job, a little more than they could say of most of the people in this little town of theirs. Kyuusaku blearily looked to the source of the sound, the gentle but condescending voice of their teacher. Mori-kun, will you please answer the question?” They hadn’t even realized they’d nodded off until they were nudged awake by their desk mate, and sole friend, Miyazawa. If they were going to be here for another half hour, they figured they may as well have gotten something useful out of it. Their face was smushed against their desk as they tried their best to fall asleep. Yet here they were, once again learning about the solar system. They’d learned all important things under their father’s wing and all things he’d deemed unnecessary under their brother’s. School was never something that had interested them very much. Characters that don't receive more than a sentence or so won't be tagged as I know the pain of reading a fic for a character tag and seeing them Once.Ĭonstructive criticism is greatly appreciated! Thank you :) Other characters will be appearing and I'll tag them appropriately. The same falls for Kouyou and Kyouka, now both falling under Ozaki. As a result, both Kyuusaku and Osamu now share a last name with Ogai, Mori. I'm unsure as to if I'll ever establish whether this is biological or adoption but just know this is how the characters view their relations. For an example of the former, not only is Q referred to as Kyuusaku but, they refer to Mori as their father and Dazai as their brother. For an example of the latter, Mori is not, Like That in this AU for the sake of my own mental wellbeing. Some characters names and their general canon has been adjusted for the sake of the AU. To be more accurate, this is based off the animated retelling of the book with anime cats (I've yet to get my greedy fingers on an actual copy of the book.) If you've already read/watched Night on the Galactic Railroad, you'll know where this goes. This is an AU based on Kenji Miyazawa's novel, Night on the Galactic Railroad.
